Dog With a Blog is a Disney Channel sitcom that is told from the dog's perspective. The show is about a newly blended family led by parents Bennett and Ellen, whose kids -- Tyler, Avery and Chloe -- are trying to adjust to life as stepsiblings. Tyler and Avery are typical teenagers and are slowly learning to communicate with each other. When they discover a secret about the family's recently adopted pet dog, Stan, they decide to keep it a secret -- even from their parents. The secret is that he talks and blogs. Complicating their attempt to keep the secret is younger sister Chloe, who thinks it's normal to have a talking pooch after she overhears him. But thankfully the parents just chalk it up to Chloe's overactive imagination. As for Stan, he has a knack for getting himself, Tyler and Avery into sticky situations, which helps teach the kids how important family is and how much they need to work together to keep Stan's secret safe.

On February 4, 2013 Disney renewed the series for a second season that will consist of 30 episodes.

Bennet adopts a shelter dog in the hopes that it will inspire Avery and Tyler to bond over taking care of him. When the kids discover that their "ordinary" dog, Stan, has the abilty to speak, they must work together in order to keep it a secret from everyone, especially their parents!

After Tyler gets his learners permit, he wants to drive alonedue to his parents annoying him, and everyone taking advantage of him. Chaos ensues when Stan crashes Ellen's car because he wanted to be like a person and everyone thinks Tyler did it. Meanwhile, Ellen and Bennet relive the memories they shared with Tyler and Avery when they were kids and realize that they're all grown-up , so they start cherishing memories with Chloe.

Stan convinces Avery to let him be the school mascot, but she is worried because the rival team always plays horrible ranks on the mascot. Meanwhile, Ellen is beyonded annoyed because the car always smells horribly bad, so ahe persuades Bennet into buying a new car.

After Tyler develops a crush on their new neighbor, Nikki Ortiz, he invites her to walk their dogs together. Tyler enlists Stan to be his wingman, and to Stan's dismay, he cannot stand Nikki's Pomeranian,Evita, due to her incessant barking.Meanwhile, Chloe asks Bennet at Career Day about his job, but Bennet is shocked when Chloe believes he is a sock-ologist, a person who studies socks, instead of a psychologist.

Stan has been addicted to a game called Realm of the Tower, where he has made a new friend Kilgor (Kevin). When the game players are gathering in the park, Stan asks Avery to pretend to be him so that they can go and meet their gaming companions. Meanwhile, Chloe has been begging to get her ears pierced, but Ellen and Bennet refuseto take her, so she tricks Tyler into taking her much to Ellen's dismay.

When the parents leave Tyler in charge, he leaves Avery in charge, and when there's a book signing Avery cannot miss, she leaves Stan in charge of Chloe. Chloe then disappears!
